FAQ
-
Can I buy directly from you?No, we only sell directly to wholesale distributors who have signed contractual agreements with us. Our distributors sell to gate maintenance companies; they do not typically sell to end-users. Gate owners can contact their gate maintenance company to get quotes.
-
How much does it cost?Specific quotes should be obtained from a gate or door maintenance company. When considering the total cost of ownership for a gate, you should always factor in legal liability, repair costs for damaged vehicles, staff time spent handling accidents, down-time for the gate, and the parts and labor required to repair the damaged equipment. Users of our LED gate products see drastic reductions in accidents, so their total cost of ownership are lower with our LED-enhanced gates than with unlit options. It is hard to quantify reductions in legal liability, but injury-related accidents can cost many $thousands. The incrementally-higher costs (versus unlit options) are trivial when compared to the benefits.

What is your warranty policy?Gate LEDs and aluminum are warranted for 90 days against manufacturing defects. Gate LED Controllers and Power Supplies are warranted for 1 year. The RMA request form can be found here: https://www.gatearms.com/warranty

Do you sell gate operators or parts? No, we do not sell any gate operators or operator parts. We manufacture LED light strips, aluminum barrier gate arms, aluminum track for mounting LEDs, aluminum gate brackets, LED Controller devices, and other electronic circuitry products. We also make a variety of software programs.

What is the smallest & biggest gates you can illuminate? Our longest LED strip at present is 25 feet (7.62 meters). Installers will typically use 20' of LED retainer track to mount a 20' LED strip on gates as large as 26'. We make LEDs from 1' to 25' long. The LEDs can be cut every 1 1/2 inches for custom lengths. Our longest aluminum gatearm is 17' long. Typical gate arms are either 12' or 15' (with an additional 2' counterweight & bracket section). We also offer 8’, 10’ and 14’ options. Custom sizes are available for a nominal fee.

How do the colors change? Our LED Controller is a small computer that is installed inside a gate operator's housing. The controller has an input signal header for incoming signal wires. It has two output LED headers for powering LED strips. It has one DC power header for receiving 12VDC 5A power. The signal header's wires connect to the gate operator's output relays or signal headers. Thus, our Controller is pulling status information directly from the operator, so the Installer does not typically need to install limit switches. The LEDs change color based on the signals (open, close, interlock) received by the LED controller.
